Vendor Spotlight: Makers Stand

Makers Stand is a family-owned and operated business proudly serving the greater Atlanta area and beyond. Led by Melissa and Luis, this creative duo brings together innovation, craftsmanship, and a genuine love for connecting with their community.

Founded in 2015, Makers Stand has grown into a multi-craft business offering a wide variety of products, including 3D-printed creations, candles, wax tarts, macramé, crochet goods, vinyl work, and handmade jewelry. Their booth is full of unique, thoughtfully made items, ensuring there’s truly something for everyone.

Makers Stand began with a spark of curiosity about 3D printing. After diving into research, Luis built his first printer, an Anet A8, from the ground up, even creating his first print: a fan blower for the machine itself. From there, their skills and creativity expanded rapidly into the diverse offerings you see at the market today.

What makes their work especially unique is the creative process behind it. Every custom idea starts as a concept that is mentally visualized and engineered before ever reaching the computer. From there, designs are carefully developed into finished pieces, combining technical precision with artistic vision. In addition to their in-house creations, they also collaborate with professional designers to bring in pieces that are high-quality, well-crafted, and made to last. It’s a detailed process that goes far beyond simply pressing “print,” requiring constant testing, calibration, and expertise.

Their most popular items shift with trends and seasons. This year, customers are loving lizards, crystal warriors, and their ever-popular mystery bags. Their $5 prints are also a favorite among families, offering fun, affordable pieces backed by a lifetime exchange guarantee.

Sustainability and safety are central to Makers Stand’s mission. Their products are made using non-toxic, biodegradable PLA (a plant-based plastic) as well as durable, food-safe PETG materials. Every item is safe for pets, water, and even the top rack of your dishwasher. If something breaks, they’ll replace it and then recycle the material to create something new.

While they maintain an online store, joining the farmers market after moving to Georgia was about building real connections. Melissa and Luis value the opportunity to meet customers face-to-face, allowing people to experience their products firsthand and become part of their growing community.

For Melissa, crafting is also deeply personal and rooted in family:“It is a great way to spend time with a young creative mind as we make and create things for all to enjoy.”

With over a decade of experience, including advanced work in 3D printing software and firmware, Makers Stand continues to push creative boundaries. And with new “kit-style” playsets and designs quietly in the works, there’s always something exciting on the horizon.

In their own words:“We are an outgoing and knowledgeable local business that will always have something for everyone.”

Be sure to stop by their booth—you never know what you’ll discover.
